To book a place please look on the &#39;downloads&#39; section of the website and complete and return the form to; Greenacre School Sports Partnership, 157 Walderslade Road, Chatham, ME5 0LP

Frequently Asked Questions

My child has only just learnt to ride their bike, can they attend bikeability?
Children attending bikeability should already be competent bike riders and be able to already have good control of their bikes. If this is not the case they may need a bit more practice before they can take part in bikeability and achieve level 2.

My child can only attend for 1 day, can they still take part in Bikeability?
To complete the Bikeability level 1 and 2 syllabus it is over 2 days. At present Greenacre SSP is not offering the one day option.

Does everyone pass level 2 Bikeability?
No, same as not everyone passes their driving test first time. If people don’t pass it is very likely to be the case that they need a bit more practice first. If your child finds themselves in this situation they can practice riding their bike regularly and ensure they read the information given to them about bike positioning on the roads. This will help them to hopefully achieve level 2 next time.

If it rains will you still continue?
Yes, unless conditions are dangerous we will continue come rain or shine so please make sure you dress appropriately either with a raincoat, change of clothing and or suncream.

If my child didn’t achieve the level 2 course how can they retake the course?
Greenacre SSP will be running sessions during holiday times, you will be able to book back onto the two day course to ensure you get another two days of tuition and practice as you have done this time. Your childs’ school may also run the course which will allow them a chance to get another go.

Do they need a packed lunch?
Yes, there will be no where open on site at Greenacre to purchase food and children will not be allowed off site unaccompanied while under our responsibility.

Is there any chance I could get 1:1 sessions for my child?
Unfortunately we do not have this capacity. However, another local coach does so if you would like to know more information then please get in contact.

Do they have to wear a helmet?
Yes, due the insurance that covers our instructors you will need to wear a helmet. Please ensure your child’s helmet meets one of these standards: BS.EN 1078, Snell B95, BS 6863. Helmets that do not meet these standards are not accepted on our training.</description>
