The first MYG event took place today with 21 teams participating. The hockey event took place at Holcombe Hockey Club and the weather stayed dry allowing no interruptions in play. The reigning champions from last year, Hempstead Juniors, also managed an impressive unbeaten run this year to see them take the 1st place again. 2nd place went to Sherwin Knight and 3rd to Parkwood. Fair play went to St Augustines of Canterbury.
Well done to all the schools who entered from GSSP: All Saints, Balfour, Cuxton, St Michaels, Walderslade and Warren Wood

16th September 2009
Students from Chatham South, Greenacre and Thomas Aveling took part in an event organised by the Chance to Shine and the Army held at Sherwood Cricket Club. The event was to promote the army and cricket and saw participants having the chance to take part in a range of stations set up around the field. An inflatable assualt course provided a great deal of excitement and amusement for students and teachers! Special guests ofr the event included Martin Saggers, Lydia Greenway and Ebony Rainford-Brent. It was a great day for all - thanks to Chance to Shine and the Army for providing this day for our schools.
