14th January 2009
208 pupils from 34 schools across the Greenacre School Sport Partnership got to visit the David Beckham Academy in Greenwich over the past 2 days. On Tuesday yr 5 and 6 pupils made the trip up and Yr 7 and 8 pupils today were lucky enough to benefit from the trip which followed the same format each day. A morning briefing and warm up was followed by some role tasks where groups were split up into sports journalists, team manager, fitness coaches, physiotherapists, nutrititionists and football scouts. After lunch a tournament was played on the pitches with a presentation ceremony to close the day. Thanks very much to the David Beckham Academy for allowing us to have this visit.
