Multi Skills Camp at Greenacre School

27th October 2008

A 2 day multi skills camp for year groups 3-8 started today at Greenacre for the pupils of local primary schools. The activities happening over the two days are badminton, basketball, Uni hoc, Judo, speed stacking and team games. Mr Archer led the multi skill activites and Steve Stacy ran judo sessions in the afternoons where everyone had lots of fun. Special thanks to both coaches for running the activities. Teachers take aim

Teachers from Greenacre School, Chatham South, Abbeycourt Special School and others from Medway and Kent Schools today completed a 4 day official GNAS archery leaders course. We look forward to hearing more about this exciting development of archery across the Greenacre School Sport Partnership.

2008 PESSCL Results published

The Government has this week published the annual survey results for PE and Sport. Across the 52 schools in the Greenacre School Sport Partnership an average of 81% of our young people aged 5-16 spend at least 2 hours on high quality PE and School Sport within school hours. We've still got work to do to ensure that EVERY young person gets to take part in 2 hours but we're on the right track with a 10% increase from last year. MYG Netball results!

Wainscott School won the Yr 5 & 6 competition today which was held at the Rainham School for Girls netball centre. Chattenden were fair play winners.

Young Ambassadors Conference

9th October 2008

Greenacre School Sport Partnership Young Ambassadors for 2008/09 Joe Bliss and Jack Crump had the chance to meet with other Young Ambassadors and Olympic and Paralympic stars at Stamford Bridge today. Their role within the Partnership is to listen, support and motivate pupils within their school and other Partnership schools and to be the link between the Greenacre School Sport Partnership and the pupils we work for. First Medway Youth Games event for secondary schools

After a thrilling final, Chatham Grammar School for Boys were the winners of the first Medway Youth Games event. Greenacre School won the fair play award for their sportsmanship and attitude throughout the day.

MYG hockey results

1st October 2008

Hempstead were winners of the Yr 5&6 hockey festival and Allhallows won the fair play award. The event was held at the superb facilities at the Holcombe hockey club.
