BIKEABILITY

The old cycling proficiency programme has been replaced by a new scheme called Bikeability. The new programme is split into 3 levels and allows pupils to learn about saftey and maintenance of their bike, basic skills in level 1 right up to learning to ride in busy traffic and complicated road systems in level 3. This is being run by Medway Council and is currently being taken part by pupils in many Medway Primary Schools. Spaces are fully booked for the 2008/09 academic year but if you would like further information or to get involved in the future please contact Andy Dickinson at Medway Council on 01634 331832.

FREE ACCESS TO KICKS!

The Kicks football centre at Strood Leisure Centre is able to offer any school wishing to use the facility during the day free access for 1 term. The centre has recently opened and boasts six state of the art, floodlit five-a-side pitches, as well as one seven-a-side pitch If you are interested please contact Kelly Harris.

If your school is looking to order safety mats or anything for sportshall athletics you can receive a 20% discount if your order is endorsed by the Partnership Development Manager. Speak to Kelly Harris if this offer could benefit your school.
