At the Greenacre School Sport Partnership we want as many young people as possible to experience a competitive sporting event. GSSP and our Partners have tried to make each competition as enjoyable experience for all competitors and spectators no matter what position you finish in.

One of our key partners for delivering a comprehensive competition calendar is the Medway Sports Development Team. Below is an outline of all of the competitions which are happening in Medway over the next academic year.

Mini Games led by the Greenacre School Sports Partnership for pupils in our schools. This year events will take place in virtual wake up shake up, virtual speed stacking, virtual athletics, cheerleading, aquasplash, sportshall athletics, keys steps gymnastics, netball league and rounders.

Mini Youth Games for year 5&6 pupils in an 8 series programme, led by the Sports Development Team. The series comprises of events in hockey,tag rugby, badminton. table tennis, netballl, kwik cricket, biathlon and athletics.

Medway Secondary School Games for pupils in school years 7-13 across a 12 series programme. The sports for this year are indoor rowing, badminton, cross country, futsal, basketball, trampolining, netball, inter cricket, biathlon, athletics, rugby league, girls rounders and boys softball.

Medway Disability Games for pupils in special and mainstream schools. A winter and summer event are planned for 2010/11

For the second year running Medway Festival of Sport will take place as a culmination and final of many of the competitions and sports which have run throughout the year. This will take place at Medway Park between 1st July 2011 and 15th July 2011.
